Labioplasty also called vaginal lip reduction has received significant attention recently.  It is a procedure to improve the enlarged labia minora ( the inner lips) or majora (the outer lips). This problem can be either congenital or caused by androgenic hormones or even stretching with weights. These elongated or large labia can affect both or only one side and can be unsightly, unhygienic and uncomfortable. All this can lead to a secret feeling of being deformed,  embarrassment, irritation or a rash and even discomfort during sexual intercourse. Labioplasty reduction is a short procedure usually lasting less then 1 hour and performed under local anesthesia or with IV sedation. It consists of removing wedges of protuberant labia tissue. The results achieved are usually very good with the incisions becoming almost imperceptible with time and the normalized genital appearance will greatly enhances your self esteem. Recovery time is approximately 4 days and you can return to work in 4-5 days. You can shower the next day day but intimate relationship can only be resumed 6 weeks postoperative.

                                        VAGINAL REJUVENATION

This procedure is not offered by Dr. Herve` Gentile as their is no data supporting the effectiveness of the procedure. You should also be informed that there are potential complications such as chronic pain, altered sensation, adhesions and scarring associated with this surgery.

                                         PUBIS LIFT

A pubis lift is indicated when the excessive skin descends down over the pubic area. This sagginess results from weight fluctuation and age and can impede your wearing your desired clothing and can create a visible bulge in this area. Dr. Herve` Gentile will excise all the redundant skin and fat in the pubis area and then redrape by lifting the skin upwards. Sometimes this is combined with Liposuction. This procedure can be performed in about 1 hour under local anesthesia or with IV sedation according to your preference. Usually you can return to normal activities within 1 week. The results are very satisfying and you will feel more comfortable in certain clothing especially snug pants.
